PLAYA FIGUERETES

Description and type: One can reach this beach easily from the centre of Ibiza and from the Avenida de España. It is well signposted.

Means of transport: Given the proximity of the centre, it is possible to go by bicycle or on foot. There is a regular bus service.

Distance:1.2 kilometres from the centre of Ibiza.

Description: A complex consisting of various inlets and small beaches, alternating with rocky corners.

Length: 450 metres. · Width: 15-25 metres

Composition: Inlets of very fine white sand of natural origin. There are also rocky zones.

Sea bottom: Shallow sandy areas alternate with rocky patches. On the beaches themselves, the gradient is very gradual and suitable for bathing in safety. At 25 metres from the shore the depth does not exceed half a metre and not until 50 metres out does it reach a little more than a metre.

Direction, prevailing winds: Its orientation to the south and the bay's enclosed form result in winds from the sea and protection from the strongest of these.

SUMMARY COMMENT. The area's varied composition produces an ideal place for sunbathing, swimming in complete safety and being well protected from strong winds. The wide range of services makes it a very convenient, comfortable and interesting place to relax in, with landscaped promenades along the shore.
