Description and type: Take the airport
road and when you're nearly there take the left turning marked Cala Jondal,
and after 4 kilometres take a further turn-off along an unsurfaced road
leading in the direction of Sa Caleta.
Means of transport: By private car or by bicycle.
Distance: 9.5 kilometres from Ibiza; 10 kilometres from San Jose.
Description: Complex of coves or sandy beaches alternating with stony
inlets and rocky patches, situated among marine banks and in an enclosed
bay. Length: 100 metres Width: 7-10 metres
Composition: Fine natural sand alternates with stony and rocky areas.
Sea bottom: Very varied - sandy bottom alternating with rocks and areas
of submarine vegetation: In the sandy zones the gradient increases rapidly
from 5 metres out.
Direction, prevailing winds: Light to moderate winds, always from the
sea. The inlets enclosed form gives sufficient protection.
Panoramic aspects: An area of considerable beauty seen in its complete
marine banks, while surrounding the beach are conifer woods typical of
the island.
