Description and type: On the road from
San Jose to Es Cubells take the fuming marked at Kilometre 5. or else
from the centre of San Jose itself take the side-road at Kilometre 13
of the San Jose-lbiza road and follow the signs along that route. Both
routes are along tammaced roads.
Means of transport: By private car or by bicycle.
Distance: 23 kilometres from Ibiza, 10 kilometres from San Jose.
Description: Fairly well protected beach. taking the form of a very enclosed
bay, with the mouth of a river-bed leading across the sand. Length: 150
metres Width: 15-25 metres
Composition: Fine natural sand, with rocky areas at both ends.
Sea bottom: Also sandy, with rocky areas suitable for snorkelling at
both ends. There is a gentle gradient which reaches 1 metre depth 25
metres out from the shore. The rocky areas of course reach greater depths
within a few metres out.
Direction, prevailing winds: During the summer season the wind always
comes from the sea and is light or moderate rather than strong.
Panoramic aspects: This beach possesses one of the most impressive views
in the whole island, thanks to the magnificent offshore presence of the
mountain-island of es Vedra.
