CALA CARBÓ

Description and type: It can be reached from Cala d'Hort via Es Cubeils, or by taking the side-road which begins on the outskirts of San Jose, and following the relevant signs. Both routes are along tarmaced roads.

Means of transport: By private car or by bicycle.

Distance: 22 kilometres from Ibiza, 9 kilometres from San Jose.

Description: A smallish beach which. thanks to its very enclosed surroundings is well protected.
Length: 50 metres Width: 50 metres on average
Composition: Thick sand of natural origin alternating with pebbly areas.
Sea bottom: Sandy with areas of rounded rocks as well as others covered with submarine vegetation. The gradient is very gentle, scarcely reaching a metre in depth at 25 metres from the shore, and allowing you to walk out roughly 50 metres.
Direction, prevailing winds: Its western aspect and very enclosed form ensures that the beach is not exposed to the moderate or strong winds which blow during summer.
Panoramic aspects: Its very rounded form makes this a cove with considerable scenic charm.
