Description and type: By asphalted
road from Santa Eularia, following the relevant signs towards Cala Pada
and Es Canar.
Means of transport: Private car, bicycle, or even by foot from Santa
Eularia. There is a regular bus service from Santa Eularia and Ibiza
and a motor-launch service from Santa Eularia.
Distance: 21 kilometres from Ibiza, 6 kilometres from Santa Eularia.
Description: Located at the end of a shallow inlet with protection from
an extensive cape.
Length: 300 metres - Width: 25-30 metres
Composition: Fine light-coloured sand.
Sea bottom: Chiefly sandy, it does not reach 1 metre in depth until 8
metres from the shore and 2 metres until 20 metres out.
Direction, prevailing winds: Light, from sea to land.
Panoramic aspects: The presence of some of the traditional fishermen's
boatthouses together with a small port gives a marine look to the area.
SUMMARY COMMENT: The numerous facilities and its considerable security
make this an especially attractive venue for practising nautical sports.
The variety of transport links to Es Canar allows those who do not have
their own vehicle to easily reach this beautiful corner of the coast.
