CALA LLENYA

Description and type: From San Carlos take the tarmaced road and follow the relevant signs.

Means of transport: Private car, bicycle, bus from Santa Eularia.

Distance: 25 kilometres from Ibiza, 10 kilometres from Santa Eularia.

Description: A typical beach with a good width carrying some way inland and also the mouth of a dry river-bed.
Length: 190 metres - Width: 60 metres.
Composition: Fine white sand of natural origin. At either end of the beach are interesting rocks suitable for snorkelling near.
Sea bottom: Also sandy, with rocks at both ends of the inlet. Gentle gradient, with one metre's depth at 12 metres from the shore and not reaching two metres until 40 metres out.
Direction, prevailing winds: Light winds prevail from sea to land.
Panoramic aspects: The presence of steep cliffs encircling the beach covered with dense pine woods which go right up to the sand confer an unusual beauty.

SUMMARY COMMENT: Cove in a fine, peaceful setting with good sports and games on offer. Its conditions are ideal for sailing or snorkelling with numerous possible walks in the surrounding countryside..
