Description and type: From San
Carlos take the road which leads off from the northern part of the village
centre and follow the clear road signs.
Means of transport: Private car, bicycle there is also a regular bus
service.
Distance: 29 kilometres from Ibiza, 14 kilometres from Santa Eularia.
Description: Group of sandy inlets with rocky areas; north-easterly aspect.
Length: 320 metres - Width: 40-50 metres
Composition: Ample sections of fine natural sand of dark colouring, together
with attractive rockycorners.
Sea bottom: Alternating rocks and sand. The gradient is gradual with
a depth of 1 metre at 10 metresfrom the shore and 2 metres some 30 metres
out.
Direction, prevailing winds: Variable, with occasional gentle southerly
winds from the land and more frequent and stronger easterly winds from
the sea.
Panoramic aspects: This beach is one of the most beautiful on the island
with a number of lovely corners and a relief which displays sculptured
forms among the rocks and islets, providing considerable scenic variety.
SUMMARY COMMENT: This beach is ideal for practising all types of watersports
since the range of services is complete; furthermore the setting is one
of unrivalled beauty, with the further possibility of walks to explore
the many natural attractions.
