CALA MASTELLA

Description and type: From San Carlos proceed to Pou des Lieo, and just before arriving take a side-road with signs marked to the beach, by way of an asphalted road.

Means of transport: Private car.

Distance: 26 kilometres from Ibiza, 11 kilometres from Santa Eularia.

Description: The beach is made up of two coves, one forming a small beach and the other a charming boating corner. The whole is found within a narrow and sheltered inlet.
Length: 60 metres - Width: 10 metres
Composition: Composed of fine natural sand and rocky areas.
Sea bottom: The beach part is made up of sand with rocky areas covered with underwater vegetation. The gradient is gentle and the depth does not reach 2 metres until some way from the shore. The rocky inlet is deeper and offers great interest for snorkellers.
Direction, prevailing winds: Its southerly orientation and its character of a sheltered inlet produce gentle winds from the sea.
Panoramic aspects: The whole offers fine scenery with the presence of two narrow coves and a very marine ambience. The existence of a seasonal torrent adds still more to the place's attractiveness.

SUMMARY COMMENT: The user will find sufficient comforts for sunbathing with the possibility of snorkelling and swimming in very secure surroundings, all before the splendid panorama offered by the inlet.
