AIGUA BLANCA
ES PALLER DES CAMP

Description and type: This can be reached from San Carlos by following the signs on the asphalted road, or else from the beach of San Vicente by way of a panoramic road which follows the line of the north-east coast. The access to the beach itself is somewhat difficult, because of a pronounced incline which means it is not recommended for the physically disabled or those of advanced years.

Means of transport: Private car, bicycle.

Distance: 30 kilometres from Ibiza, 15 kilometres from Santa Eularia.

Description: The whole comprises a very open bay facing directly east and with a sandy strip at the foot of the beautiful and very steep marine cliffs.
Length: Some 300 metres in total - Width: 10-15 metres
Composition: Fine natural ochre-coloured sand. There are a number of rocky sections and outcrops. Sea bottom: Also sandy, but with rocks that are very interesting for snorkelling. The gradient is gentle with a depth of 1 metre at 15 metres from the shore and not reaching 2 metres until 40 metres out.
Direction, prevailing winds: In facing directly east the beach is exposed to somewhat strong winds from this direction, common during the summer season, even though they always blow from the sea to the land.
Panoramic aspects: The area's charm derives from the beauty of the sculptured forms in the rocks produced by erosion as also from the presence on the cliffs of the island's typical Mediterranean greenery.

SUMMARY COMMENT: The whole area of this coastline is a must for visitors, to experience the beauty of the countryside and enjoy its tranquil atmosphere, with transparent waters which provide some beautiful colourings on the sandy sea-floor next to the beach.
